I received this shaver for Christmas 2 years ago and have loved it since day-one! I was looking for a deal on replacement heads and this was one of the links. And since I was here anyway, I thought I'd add my two-cents worth. First of all, the heads I'm replacing are the originals. I switch between a razor and my shavor depending. Sometimes I just don't have the time or feel like taking the time to go the razor route and I'll grab my Norelco. The most impressive thing to me about the 7140xl is the battery life! There has got to be alien technology in the mix here because I've never had a battery operated device that held a charge as long as this puppy - ever! The only thing I do that I'm sure has added to the long time between charges is this.... When I'm going to charge it, I turn it on and let it completely die before plugging it in. I know, I know, there types of batteries aren't supposed to develop a emory over time but...... I really like the closeness of the shave it delivers as well as the way it feels in my hand like the person above said. Cleaning it is a snap. If I had to find a fault with it I'd have to say the sideburn trimmer is weak at best. My old tired worn out Norelco from the early 90's has a far better trimmer onboard. This one for some reason doesn't seem to have the speed nor the strength to be effective. Great shaver nonetheless. + See Full Customer Review |  |
